Lemon and Banana Freezer Dessert Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Graham cracker crumbs or crushed cookies for topping (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
3. Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract into the whipped cream until well combined.
4. Add the banana mixture to the whipped cream mixture and fold gently until everything is evenly mixed together.
5. Pour the mixture into a rectangular or square dish.
6. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs or crushed cookies on top for added texture and flavor, if desired.
7. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow it to set.
8. Before serving, transfer the dessert to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to soften slightly.
9. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve chilled.
Note: You can adjust the sweetness and tartness of the dessert by adding more or less lemon juice and sweetened condensed milk, according to your taste preferences. Additionally, you can incorporate other flavors such as a touch of cinnamon or a sprinkle of shredded coconut for added variety.
